I'm going to mostly put things in cuts. Here's a still life drawing.
Feathers remind me of Alice, Sarah's mom, partly because one of the first photographs of her I saw before meeting her sported a big feather boa, and she gave another feather boa to Sarah as a present. Two of her paintings that we own also contain birds with distinctive, enormous stylized feathers, which I suppose contributes to the somewhat tenuous association. The papers and letter in the foreground are Sarah's forms to withdraw from this semester of college.
