Watercolor made on the train

Sweet. If he had glasses he'd look a lot like Clark Kent.

Re:

Thanks. He kind of had a rocker outfit (leather jacket, chain, black jeans and a motorhead t-shirt) that I guess ended up looking more like a yuppie suit and slacks due to my lack of control over the watercolor medium and my lack of attention to clothing. I spend too much attention on the face, which I would defend as being more true in reality to my Clark Kent-ish portrayal.

i want to go on a train. i went on one in new zealand in 1994. that was the first and last train i've been on.
try painting in a car sometime...---or maybe you have...
talk about lack of control... +++carsickness is so fun.

i dig the browns in the piece. they make everything flow together really nicely... and his hand! lovely indeed...

Wow, how did you manage so much control on a train? What sort of watercolor set did you use? I'm always fumbling around with my paints and water; I can't imagine painting on a train.

It's a beautiful painting.

I've only tried drawing in a car. Buses and trains are much, much smoother, which seems like the opposite of what I would expect. And I get carsick really easily. And thank you!

Thank you, it is really awkward. I lost my favorite little 12-pan watercolor kit a while ago, and am using a slightly bigger one; I carry a little plastic water container and little platic sprayer to wet the cakes or paper, and I steal paper napkins from restaurants.

Wow. I really like how you did the lighting, and the high attention to detail on the face. It looks really nice. Kinda has a peaceful air about it. I like! b n_n d
