Messing around with photoshop layers for fun, and it started looking Matrix-y. So I went with it.
I like the overall world and premise of the Matrix movies, but I was disappointed by "Reloaded". Apparently I just don't get it. Why again is the One supposed to return to the source? So he can choose the future leaders of a new Zion? But why is it necessary to give him super-hero powers in order to do this? Wouldn't it just as logical, and more convenient, for the machines to use someone like Trinity or Morpheus to start a new Zion?
Help me out here,
zeroparallax!

so I thought I would explain it to you...he isn't given powers.. he represents the failure rate of the Matrix. (99.9% of all humans accept the program, but he is the .01% that doesn't) Because he doesn't accept the matrix his mind can over come it.. Basically he can do anything he believes he can do because his mind understands that none of it is real.
