I did a portrait of Sarah, who actually tried to hold still,
and she painted a "My Little Pony" (that she was battling for on ebay) on top of it.

I tried to color it, but I thought it just weakened the warpness.

Maybe I should have tried to give it a texture like your mask piece, so it could stay a line drawing and still give a sense of being "finished".
